How to choose a model
How does the X PRO series differ from X?
X PRO match-class premium — German latex Contact PRO 4 mm (trusted in professional models). X is semi-pro class—latex Giga Grip 4mm, optimized for regular training and league matches. Difference: grip class, backhand construction, and extras (PRO models have punch zones, dual elastic strap).
How does Varis differ from Invictus?
By glove shape:
- Varis = cut
Negative, lighter, more fitted, direct ball feel - Invictus = cut
Roll Finger+, fuller, larger contact surface, hand stabilization
It's a choice. One player wants dynamic, direct feel (Varis), another wants fuller, stable hand positioning (Invictus).
Which model for my level?
- Ekstraklasa / First Division / advanced amateur match play →
X PRO(Varis X PRO or Invictus X Pro) - Regular training and lower-league matches → series
X(Varis X or Invictus X) - Child U7-U15 → Invictus X Junior (sizes 3, 4, 5)
- Second pair for daily training → Invictus X Training
Full decision guide: How to choose gloves.
Contact PRO 4 mm vs Giga Grip 4 mm — what's the difference?
Two different grip latexes:
- Contact PRO 4 mm (German) — used in the series
X PRO(match models). Top grip, chosen by pro goalkeepers. - Giga Grip 4mm — used in the series
X(semi-pro). Excellent grip, optimized for regular use, good balance of quality and everyday playability.
Full comparison tool: Contact PRO vs Giga Grip.
Negative vs Roll Finger+ — which one?
Two glove cuts, two philosophies:
- Negative (
Varis) — foam sits closer to the hand, lighter feel, more direct ball contact - Roll Finger+ (
Invictus) — foam extends beyond the palm, larger contact surface, fuller, more structured feel
Both cuts are used by pro goalkeepers — it's not "better/worse," just preference.
Varis X PRO or Invictus X PRO — which one?
Both with German latex Contact PRO 4 mm — same top-tier grip. The difference is glove shape:
- Varis X PRO = cut
Negativelighter, dynamic, direct ball feel — for goalkeepers who want precision and quick reactions. - Invictus X Pro = cut
Roll Finger+, fuller, larger contact surface, stronger hand placement — for goalkeepers who value stability, especially on crosses.
Same latex. Choice = cut preference, not class.
Colors — do they matter?
No — colorway is a variant, not a separate product. The model logic, technology, and tier are identical across all colors in a line.
How to choose the right size goalkeeper gloves?
Two measurements:
- Hand circumference at the widest point (without thumb), using a measuring tape — the circumference in cm is your approximate glove size
- Palm length From wrist to middle fingertip + 1 cm allowance
Adult sizes start at 8 (palm ~22 cm), junior 3-5 (Invictus X Junior). If you're between sizes — go bigger (cut Negative fits tighter, Roll Finger+ leaves more room).

Are FM gloves worth the price versus other brands / other premium brands / Uhlsport?
Contact PRO 4 mm (X PRO series) is the same German latex that costs 450-600 zł at corporate brands. Varis X PRO and Invictus X PRO are 379 zł—because we manufacture ourselves, no middlemen. The difference isn't in grip, just logo and markup.
Do FM test with pro goalkeepers?
Yes. Founder Wojciech Małecki is a former Ekstraklasa and first-division goalkeeper (Korona Kielce, Górnik Łęczna, Znicz Pruszków, Olimpia Grudziądz). Every model goes through testing with active league goalkeepers before hitting the store. FM Team (ambassadors) play in the gloves and report feedback each season.
Maintenance and lifespan
Why does grip fade?
Latex foam is consumable — it wears with use. That's not a defect, it's the material's nature. Dirt, high drying heat, and damp storage shorten lifespan. Regular washing and rotating match/training pairs — extend it.
When to replace gloves—signs of wear.
How long will a pair of X PRO gloves last?
With 3-4 training sessions + one match per week and proper care — 3-5 months of active season. A match pair used only on Sunday will last full season (8-10 months). Rotating match/training gloves extends the life of both pairs 2-3×.
My new pair lost grip after 2 training sessions — is that a defect?
Why do you recommend rotating two pairs?
Latex needs 24-48h drying after use to rebuild grip structure. One pair used day after day dries too fast, foam stays damp, grip breaks down 30-40% quicker. Two pairs alternating — each gets a full dry cycle. Result: one pair lasts like 1.3×, two last like 3×.
Can I wash gloves in the washing machine?
No. A washing machine destroys latex mechanically (drum + detergents + heat). Hand wash only—cool water, gentle soap or specialized latex gel, no wringing or squeezing. Full guide: How to care for your gloves.
How to wash goalkeeper gloves?
Cool water + gentle soap if heavily soiled. Not hot water (latex foam degrades in high heat). Air dry only, never on a radiator or in direct sun.
Full guide: How to care for your gloves.
Can I play in new gloves right after delivery?
Technically yes, but we recommend: wash in cool water (removes the protective coating), air dry for 24 hours, run 1-2 dry sessions so the glove "settles" on your hand. Wearing fresh-out-of-the-box gloves in a match risks incomplete grip.
Do FM gloves need grip glue?
No. Latex Contact PRO 4 mm i Giga Grip 4mm deliver strong grip without extra adhesive. Glue that circulates in goalkeeper groups is a band-aid on weak foam quality — with FM gloves, just wet your hand before the match. Adhesive speeds up latex wear and damages the glove long-term, it doesn't save it.
What to buy with your gloves
What else to buy with your gloves (goalkeeper kit)?
- Second pair (Training or second X pair) for rotation — one dries after the match
- Bag / Duffel for gloves, ventilated (not plastic promotional bag)
- Goalkeeper jersey and shorts — we have the full FM lineup
- For younger players: hip and elbow pads
- Glue is NOT needed (see above)

For parents / juniors
Which model for U10 / U12 kids?
Invictus X Junior — sizes 3 (U7–U9), 4 (U9–U12), 5 (U12–U14). Good-quality latex for juniors, Roll Finger+ cut for hand stability (kids need confidence). Around 109 zł. Don't buy adult sizes in small — they have thicker latex, a child's hand can't control the ball.
What sizes for a junior?
Available: 3, 4, 5 (Invictus X Junior). How to measure — see How to measure glove size. Junior 3 ~ ages 6-8, 4 ~ 9-11, 5 ~ 12-14—but always measure your specific hand, since they grow at different rates.
