When to replace goalkeeper gloves
Gloves are consumables—latex foam wears with use. That's not a product defect, just material character.
Signs of Wear
1. Grip settles
The ball slips out of your hands despite good catching technique. Latex loses its grip properties over time — this is the key warning sign.
2. Visible latex wear
Foam areas become dull, you'll see micro-cracks or thin spots. Especially on fingertips and in the palm center.
3. Foam peeling away from fabric
Mechanical damage. At this point replacement is necessary — the glove no longer does its job.
4. Persistent odor despite washing
Bacteria have penetrated the foam structure — it won't wash out.
Rotation = longer lifespan
If you train regularly (e.g., 3–5x per week), a separate training pair (Invictus X Training) significantly extends the lifespan of the match model (Varis X / PRO lub Invictus X / PRO).
- Match gloves: matches only + maybe one technical session per week
- Training: all other units
