Varis X PRO or Invictus X PRO — Why Even Choose?
TL;DR: Both models feature the same German Contact PRO 4 mm latex. The difference is the glove's shape. Choose Varis X PRO (Negative cut) if you like dynamics, lightness, and a direct feel for the ball. Choose Invictus X PRO (Roll Finger+ cut) if you value stability, a fuller hand fit, and confidence when coming off your line.
Two cuts, one latex — what does it really mean?
Both models are in the X PRO series — our premium match-grade class. Both use German Contact PRO 4 mm latex, one of the top on the market. Both have a double elastic bandage. The grip class is the same.
The difference is in how the glove fits your hand:
- Varis X PRO —
Negativecut. The foam sits close to the hand, the glove fits tighter, and you get a more direct feel of the ball on first contact. - Invictus X PRO —
Roll Finger+cut. The foam extends beyond the hand, providing a larger contact area. The glove leaves more space, giving a fuller fit.
When Varis X PRO wins
- You play dynamically, where reflexes count
- Low balls, close to the ground — you need to feel the ball with your fingers, not just catch it with your whole hand
- You prefer lighter, more fitted gloves
- Your playing style is about reacting and piercing — you need precise handwork
Fit Skin 3Dbackhand +Punch+zone supports punching
When Invictus X PRO wins
- Coming out for crosses, high balls — you want maximum contact area
- You catch with your whole hands, preferring to feel the ball "in the whole glove"
- You prefer a more secure hand fit, confidence
Beta & Latexbackhand + silicone punching zones — more support- You play in difficult conditions (wet grass, high crosses) — stability helps
How professional goalkeepers tested them
Every FM model undergoes tests with active league goalkeepers before hitting the store. In tests, Varis X PRO is chosen by goalkeepers who value dynamics (1st-3rd league players, those better "on the line"). Invictus X PRO is chosen by players who are very active in the penalty area (coming out, crosses, aggressive play on the goal line).
